Parthenocarpy in a Tomato Deficient for a Part of a Chromosome and in Its Aneuploid Progeny.

چکیده
VERY small tomato plant occurred in F1 from diploid dwarf dldl A parents, grown in the field at Riverside, California, for a study of male sterility. The mutant was very slow-growing, compared with normal sibs, but was perfectly developed and apparently healthy. It had extremely short internodes and very small leaves (fig. I). It flowered freely and produced very small yellow (ry) fruit in abundance throughout the season,

I-35: Genetic Aberrations in Early Development:The Origins and The Fates
Genetic aberrations are commonly seen in human preimplantation embryos. Non-disjunction and premature division of a chromosome are common in both meiosis and mitosis divisions. The expected result for meiotic aneuploidies is full aneuploidy in the later stages whereas mosaicism is the most frequent event in the cleavage and blastocyst stages. The main causes for mosaicism are post-zygotic event...
متن کاملBiosystematics and phylogeny of Tanacetum fisherae, a new record from Iran
The chromosome number (2n=5x=44+1B) of Tanacetum fisherae, as a new record from high mountains of southern Iran (Kerman province: Hazar mountain) is reported. A new ploidy level (pentaploidy) for the genus is presented for the first time. The studied population was aneuploid, having lost one chromosome out of the 45 expected in an x=9-based pentaploid. The distribution map, description and micr...
متن کاملComplete Genomic Sequence of a Strain of Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus from Iran
Background and Aims: Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is one of the most destructive viruses of tomato that leads to reduced tomato yield up to 100% in tropical and subtropical regions. In this study, the complete sequence of TYLCV isolate from Hormozgan province, Iran and its recombination evsent was determined. Methods: TYLCV infected tomato was collected from Hormozgan province. Total D...
متن کاملO-35: Over-Expression of XRCC1 As Potential Biomarker for Poor Prognosis in Human Preimplantation Embryos: Selection by Study of 84 Genes Involved in DNA Damage Signaling Pathways
Background: Chromosome abnormalities are associated with poor morphology and development in human preimplantation embryos, all together lead to poor outcomes. This study aimed to explore altered expression of DNA damage pathways in “poor morphological and development embryos with sever aneuploidies”. Materials and Methods: Surplus day-4 embryos of PGD cases were pooled in two groups: Poor progn...
متن کاملMolecular Surveying of the Common Variants of Glucose 6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Gene in Deficient Patients
Glucose 6-phoshphate dehydrogenase is X-chromosome linked that expressed in all tissues. This is the first enzyme of pentose phosphate pathway were 5-carbon sugar Ribose and NADPH were synthesized by coupled oxidation /reduction reactions and this enzyme is a highly polymorphic enzyme in humans. G6PD deficiency are shown to be the cause of haemolytic effect of Fava beans and primaquine. It soon...
